Watch Faces - BetterWatch

I purchased this app for about $3 as a ONE TIME forever charge. It has ALOT of different faces and I love that. The only reason why I’m giving it 2 stars is because out of all the faces available, I can only PROPERLY use about 6. Errors includes a blank screen with just the time displayed, white lines or an error message stating that the app and faces are not available or compatible with my watch series. I have a series 8 and the faces are supposed to be compatible to match whatever iWatch series you have that’s compatible with the app (which is why they asked for the series you’re using/wearing). There are more faces that I’m receiving an error for than those I actually can use for my watch face. I’ve contacted customer support, updated both my phone @ the app, as well as deleted and reinstalled the app, hoping that that SOMETHING would fix the issue. Nothing I did or tried fixed those issues, absolutely nothing. Then, to top it all off: this app also supports family sharing. Unfortunately, I was unable to share the app with those family members. When they downloaded the app, they were prompted to pay for it. How can this be when I’ve already purchased the app and now just trying to share it with my fam. Maybe next time on the near future this app will corrected so that it will function properly.

I absolutely loved all the watch faces to choose from, and I got my watch all set up with one quickly. I was happy with it… at first. It wasn’t long before I realised that it was causing my battery to drain incredibly fast. My watch can’t even last one day while using one of these faces. I have also noticed now that the face doesn’t update unless I click something on the screen and then go back. For example, today it is 6/17 but my watch face showed 6/16 all day until just now, at 6:39pm, when I clicked on the screen to go to a different page and then went back. It also does this with my steps taken/calories burned and any other activity information… doesn’t update until I manually refresh the face but clicking something like the battery percentage, or your steps counter… something on the watch face. I’ve used my watch today to answer calls and messages but that doesn’t refresh it. It has to be an interaction with the watch face itself. So as much as I love the look of it, it’s just not working for me anymore as it’s inconvenient. If they fix these issues then I’d gladly come back, but at this point I’m bummed I spent money on the app.

Update: Answer to developer. I have selected my watch series, my phone and watch are up to date. I have deleted your app and downloaded it again, turned off my watch and my phone after waiting the suggested 10 minutes to download the new face. I have deleted the inoperable watch face and downloaded again and again. It isn’t all the faces, just the ones that look great on your IG and FB ads. Just the ones I want! There are far too many people complaining about the same thing. You have a problem and you know it. I will not be wasting my time with your support team. I think contacting the App store is a better use of my time. ******************************************* Original review: Since you keep pestering me for a review here it is. I am not impressed. About half the available watch faces actually work. I have a series 9 and most of the Compilations I want don’t work. I have tried all your tips, double checked my settings and deleted and downloaded again over and over. I am also disappointed that no one seemed to care that both the Gingerbread Man and the Snowman have a horizontal line running through them? I believe this app has some promise but for now the free portion seems to be the most productive.
