Dr.Tail: 24/7 AI Vet Care

My puppy randomly started throwing up, once a day.. it was a very odd phenomenon because she wasn’t showing any other signs of illness. No lethargy, still drank water, still had an appetite etc… My primary Vet is closed on the weekends and they don’t have an emergency office, so I needed quick answers and Dr. Tail was really helpful! I was able to consult whether or not the issue was emergent or if we could wait the weekend out and get to the vet first thing on Monday. I did pay to have my question answered within 30 minutes, but I’d rather be out $20 to know I could avoid the emergency vet fees, than go in blindly if she was alright! The vet online was able to help me decide that she was going to be safe to wait the weekend out & answered all of my (many) questions thoroughly! It’s a great tool to have on hand if you’re in a pinch like I was! It doesn’t replace an actual vet by any means, but gives a peace of mind to know you can have professional answers quickly.

I became concerned when I noticed a sore on my cat’s head. I couldn’t tell if it was just a bad cut or something more serious. Not having the money to go to the vet, I was extremely thankful to find this app. I thought for sure I would receive an automated response, such as “this question has already been answered, refer to, etc.” I was pleasantly surprised when I received a well thought out response by Dr. Brown that helped ease my concern and gave me legitimate solutions to care for my cat. As always, they recommended ultimately going to the vet to be sure. But using the advice given, I was able to use antibiotic cream vs an expensive ointment prescription from the vet to help heal my cat’s wound. I was even more surprised when I received a text a few days later checking in on us! Robin & I thank you for this wonderful service.

Last week I had a scare with one of my Pomeranians. I had made myself a plate of strawberries with whip topping and placed it on the table for a second and stepped away to go check on something. Usually my dogs are good at not touching or eating anything without my approval but the whip topping was too good to resist for one of my Poms. By the time I got back, I saw that one of my Poms had eaten about half of the whip topping that was in my plate and btw it was peppermint flavored. I panicked and thought the worse case possible so i panicked and called 3 different vet offices and no one responded since it was over the weekend. I even tried calling a 24/7 vet hospital and nothing! No one answered my call. So then I decided to get online and get professional help from a vet. Although it says that it’ll take them 72 hrs to respond, it only took them a couple of hours to respond to my question. I even had follow up questions which were answered in a timely manner which I appreciated. Needless to say, my Pom is doing great and I’m thankful for the vets that were able to calm me down and help me with my scare incident. I will be using them for future advice and highly recommend them. Thank you so much for the help.
