I figured I’d give it a try, even though I’ve got other cycling apps and alert notifications set up on my Apple Watch. This app integrates it all. The tracking is very accurate; I checked it against my watch, cycle computer, and three other tracking apps. The notification features are especially cool. You can let your “guardians” know when you begin your ride, and when you end it. If you stop and forget to “pause” it, you’ll get a loud alarm (a good thing!), starting at 4 minutes, warning you that your guardians will be notified in one minute. It sounds more frequently as that last minute counts down, so you have time to pause the app so no one gets notified. I let it count down once, to test it, and it work exactly as it should. My brother and sister both got notified immediately, and they could see my location. Well worth the money.
I downloaded this after getting my silicon American Flag pin wrist ID band, which I also love. I’ve received several compliments on it. Road ID rocks!

I am 70 years old and an avid biker, your app allows me the freedom to ride to the fullest ability of my senior citizen skill set without the “what if” scenario running through my mind. My wife also appreciates being able to check on me while ride. The fact that she feels more at ease while I ride is important to me. One thing you might think about adding to the app is a block I could activate when I stop at McDonalds or a brewery. When I first started using your app, I thought “how can they do all this on the cost of the bracelets alone”. So when you added the new fee, I thought, this is the cheapest insurance policy I have ever had. Last but not least, after my ride, I really enjoy reading the ride summary e-mail. I run trails, which means there are several risks: - Unfriendly rocks. Trip twist fall. - Bobcat - Coyote I’m a transgender feminine person which means humans can be at risk as well, although I’ve never seen it personally. I use this app to keep my wife informed of where I am. It gives her the confidence that if something happens she’ll know and can act. It also helps prevent my overconfidence won’t get me into serious trouble, hopefully. I have the app set up to notify her phone and my phone at start and finish. That way, I know when it’s texting and what is texting.

A brainlessly simple way to let your loved ones follow you on your adventures. The ROAD iD App sends eCrumbs (electronic breadcrumbs) to your selected loved ones (Guardians). eCrumbs can be sent via Email or SMS and give your Guardians the ability to see where you are, how far you’ve gone, and the route you’ve traveled. Guardians do NOT need to install the App to see your location.
ACCIDENT SENSING
Our patented Stationary Alert technology provides loved ones with your wipeout whereabouts. When activated, the ROAD iD App will trigger a Stationary Alert when it senses that you have been stationary for too long. You are given 30 seconds to dismiss the Stationary Alert before the App notifies your pre-selected loved ones (Guardians). Stationary Alerts can be sent via Email or SMS. Guardians do NOT need the App to receive Stationary Alerts.
ONE-TOUCH SOS
Instantly notify loved ones that you need help and call First Responders if needed. When using the App, simply press the SOS button and we'll notify your loved ones (Guardians) that you're in distress. Pressing this button will also give you a shortcut to call Emergency Services (ex. 911). This emergency screen will show your current Latitude and Longitude so you can tell First Responders exactly where you are.
ACTIVITY HISTORY
We'll even keep a complete log of your adventures, including maps and key stats.
