This is such a good idea. As an avid camper and backpacker who loves taking friends on adventures, I’ve found it’s always tough getting outdoor newbies equipped. Making this Airbnb for gear makes so much sense - it’ll allow folks to try new adventures without committing to the expensive gear needed that you can’t always rent from big stores. I also am happy to make a small passive income stream off of the gear I have sitting in storage most of the time.

I love the idea of renting someone’s equipment for a day to decide if that activity is really for me, and I should buy my own equipment or if I should just keep renting for the times I’ll need it. Really looking forward to the platform taking off nationally so I can use this concept while traveling instead of hauling my stuff across the country. The app is very intuitive and user friendly too!

This app is a great idea. It’s honestly funny that nobody has thought of making an app like this before. This is an innovation that will not only allow hobbyists to indulge their interests no matter where they are at an affordable price and limited logistics, but it will almost certainly bring communities of hobbyists together. Simple, cheap, practical solutions that will only further engage the human element.

Gear2Go is a community-based digital marketplace to rent and lend outdoor gear, tools, and everyday items.
Using Gear2Go, a lender can post an item complete with a picture, description, and price. Renters can simultaneously search our platform for items based on type, location, and price. The platform facilitates the transaction via direct messaging and a secure payment system.
Gear2Go benefits all parties in the transaction. For lenders, Gear2Go subsidizes the purchase of expensive items that would otherwise sit idle.
