Reviews: What People Think About 101 HD Online Card Game
About 101 HD Online Card Game
101 is a popular card game for 2 to 4 players, now with a new online mode! Known in various countries as “Mau-Mau,” “Czech Fool,” “English Fool,” “Pharaoh,” “Pentagon,” or “One Hundred One.” This classic game served as the basis for the well-known “Uno.”
The goal of the game: get rid of all the cards in your hand as quickly as possible or score the least points on remaining cards. The game continues until 101 points. If a player exceeds this amount, they are eliminated. The game ends when only one player remains, who is declared the winner. In online mode, the game ends when any player reaches 101 points.
In our version you will find:
• Online mode: play with friends or random opponents online
• Offline mode: story-driven adventure with characters and quests or free play with custom rules
• Daily and weekly rewards
• Excellent graphics
• Multiple card sets and game tables
• Mode with 52 or 36 cards
• Choice of hand size
• Choice of number of players
A special note about the multiplayer mode (online mode): The game is played strictly with real players. However, if a player leaves the match, a bot will take over to complete it. Thus, every match is always played to the end, after which rewards and experience are distributed.
Additional settings:
In “One Hundred One,” there are many rule variations, and thanks to a flexible settings system, you can easily adapt the game to your preferences. In the “Additional Settings” section when creating a game, you can use the following options:
• +40 points if the King of Spades remains in hand
• Shuffle the deck when cards run out
• Disable the ability to pass the effect of 6 and 7
• Make 6, 7, 8, 10, and the King of Spades regular cards
• When playing an 8, if there’s no follow-up card, draw either 3 cards or until a suitable card is found
• Cover the 8 with another card if it was the last card
• Choose how many cards to draw with the King of Spades: 4 or 5
Additionally, for player convenience, our 101 offers the option to enable fast move animations (both during the game and if a player finishes a round before computer opponents). For those who don’t want to watch bots play, you can enable the “End game on loss” option.
Rules of the game “One Hundred One”
A player can place a card of the same suit or rank on the open card. If they don’t have a suitable card, they must draw one from the deck. If it doesn’t fit, the turn passes to the next player.
If the deck runs out of cards, the top card from the discard pile is placed face-up on the table, and the remaining cards are turned over to serve as the deck again.
Certain cards require specific actions from players after being played:
• 6 - draw one card and skip your turn
• 7 - draw two cards and skip your turn
• King of Spades - draw four cards and skip your turn
• 8 - after playing this card, you must play again. If you have no card to play, draw from the deck until you can
• 10 - changes the direction of play
• Ace - skip your turn
• Queen - the player can choose a suit
A player can pass the effect of a 6 or 7 to the next player by playing a 6 or 7.
The goal of a single round is to get rid of all cards in hand. The first player to do so wins. Others count the points on the cards left in their hands. Penalty points earned in each round are added up.
The first player to exceed 101 points loses and is eliminated. The game continues with the remaining players. The winner is the last player who has not reached 101 penalty points.
If a player scores 100 points, their score is reduced to 50. If a player scores 101 points, their score is reset to 0.
