Pesa (Formerly Pesapeer)

I had a very poor experience with Pesa Money Transfer and would not recommend their service. I attempted to send $700 for an emergency, but unlike previous transactions, the funds were not available immediately. Customer service was unhelpful and told me to just wait, which forced me to use another service. To make matters worse, I later discovered an unauthorized transaction of $260 from my account on April 8, 2026. I reported it immediately, and their response was simply to change my password—no real urgency or accountability. It’s now been several days with no meaningful update or resolution. Other remittance services provide instant availability and better security controls. Based on my experience, Pesa lacks reliability, urgency, and customer protection. I strongly advise others to use a more secure and responsive service.

This app does not have a working customer service line, and there is no proper communication. My money has been stuck in the account for days now, and no one is trying to resolve the issue. I have been sending messages and doing my best to get help, but the lines do not work and the chat responses take too long. Yes, the exchange rate is good, but there is no support when something goes wrong. My funds are trapped in the wallet, and I am just waiting for someone to tell me how to move forward. It is extremely frustrating and disappointing. No customer should have to wait hours or even days for a simple issue to be resolved. The back-and-forth with no real answer is not acceptable. Please restore my access and let me know how I can proceed with my money that is currently sitting in my Pesa wallet. I need to complete my transfer as soon as possible.

The app doesn’t have any customer care service one can reach in times of difficulties. I have been trying to reach them for a while but I can’t find it. Can they provide one either on the app or the website?
