I think this works but you need to play it through an actual speaker like a Bluetooth one. Other wise it won't have the decibels to work in a decent sized area.
Be prepared for pests to still come. It is in their nature to still try to enter your home. The trick is they will not stay because of the sound. Don't expect immediate results or to hold your phone to a roach and expect it to immediately leave. This is more of an ongoing effect that makes them not feel safe to stay and reproduce.
My main complaint is the ads. I understand them as this is free. I swear though it will play the longest most obnoxious ads imaginable.

One of the mice ran across my room, I turned my volume up to max, aimed the speaker at the mouse, and activated the app’s blast of ultrasonic frequency. Immediately the rodent violently contorted it’s head toward me, lurching in pain. It’s eyes swelled with blood as the creature rolled sporadically around the floor, then let out an unnaturally disturbing cry of agony. Freezing in place, the poor tiny mammal took one final look at me, staring almost directly into my eyes before his body expanded rapidly, detonating into a miniature cloud of blood and viscera. Mouse gore is now in my eyes, and all over my apartment….. 4/5 stars. d(‘.’d)

Whenever I see a mosquito or a fly or some bug every time, I’m able to track it down and then, when I hold the phone in the designated room, it just stays Still and it freezes and it doesn’t move and I kill it easily
