Scam. The app wants full access to all photos on phone and iCloud. Violates privacy. Also it needs access to local network. That is 2nd privacy violation. Also, the Wi-Fi doesn’t work. There is no Bluetooth switch in app. App needs Bluetooth to turn on Wi-Fi. Also it wants precise GPS location when not needed. So, turns out the app update coincided with the batteries dying in the camera (after 3 months of use, not bad), so what I thought was a connection issue introduced by the update turns out to have been the dead batteries. The app and the camera work great now. Unloading pics via WIFI is easy if not particularly quick. Videos seem not to download to the camera roll as the stills do, and they’re unplayable in the app. So when the stills make it look like I’ve caught something interesting it’s time to go grab the SD card and do a manual transfer of the videos. Not a big deal but I would love if that was the next thing the developer tackled. (Review updated and rating raised appropriately).

Tests in the house are good. Local wifi was easy to connect to. We will see how the photo quality and over durability work out in the field. App is intuitive. Not quite as easy as our browning but since I understand that I know what I’m looking for here.
