Folkestone Eats

Having recently moved from another area with a similar ‘local’ food delivery app developed during the pandemic we were very excited to download Folkestone Eats as we live on the outskirts of Folkestone in a semi-rural location but on the app there were some restaurants that would deliver to us - yay! However this is the third time we have ordered via the app, and the third time we have had to call the restaurant after the stated expected arrival time with the app still stating ‘being prepared’. On all three occasions our orders were accepted by the restaurants but not prepared or delivered until we had called them directly after the stated delivery times. Disappointed as, although the app is a great idea, I don’t think the restaurants are engaging with the app correctly.

Was allowed to order from a restaurant as a pre order. My order was then cancelled before the order was accepted. Went to the same place via Just Eat and ordered no problem. It was also cheaper on Just East which was a surprise as I thought a more local service would fight back against the higher charges from the likes or Just Eat and Uber etc. might try again in the future.
