The staff at UPMC Central Pa is top-notch! From the doctors who cracked jokes while they stitched me up (okay, maybe not while they stitched me up, but you get the idea) to the nurses who kept me laughing throughout my stay (even when they were drawing blood), everyone made a not-so-fun experience much more bearable. The only thing funnier than the bill I got after one night in the ER was the number of times they sent it to me. It felt like they were testing out a new high-speed billing printer. Let's just say I got very familiar with my shredder. In all seriousness, the staff was amazing, and I would absolutely recommend UPMC Central Pa to anyone who needs top-notch medical care (and a good sense of humor to deal with the billing department). Just be prepared to wrestle with a never-ending stack of bills. Maybe they'll throw in a free shredder with your next procedure?

I am 76 years old and I absolutely delight in having access to my health tests and procedure results in this detailed and very efficient manner. I love being able to compare previous studies with present studies. As a person who is intent on maintaining my total health in the best possible state for as long as I am able, the UPMC portal allows me to better understand and manage my personal health care. Having access to my health results allows me to better prepare any questions or concerns I may have about optimizing my health care when I speak with my providers.

I love being able to look online and see everything about my drs visit previous and past. Know exactly what kind of labs have been ordered and get to see the results. Know what was discussed at drs visits in case I forget something. See what my next appointments are. And being able to send messages to my drs even with pictures and to get a prompt response so you don’t have to wait on a phone call is great. I can also pay my bills. Best medical portal I’ve used.
