SheetCut Optimizer - Carpenter

I saw the older reviews and almost turned away, but after using free website like cultist optimizer, I wondered if they fixed the issues mentioned, and indeed they did. I recently downloaded this app and I’ve been thoroughly impressed with its accuracy on the sheet cut out, and the fact that I can export to a PDF was a huge plus. The app was smooth and simple to use, logically laid out, and it even had the blade thickness already put in, which was also another plus. When doing manual calculations I sometimes forget to include Blade thickness in my calculations and end up having to redo entire sheets. Thankfully, this app automatically includes the standard 0.13 which is the equivalent of a 1/8 inch sawblade. Developers? If you’re reading these comments, don’t change a thing. It’s working right now as of April 29, 2026. Everything works as advertised and I love it. Don’t touch it, leave it alone. I just updated my iPhone to the latest iOS release two days ago and your app is still working so please leave it alone. Thanks.

The layouts are great.. that is if you can actually get the pop-up numerical keypad to actually function. I build custom cabinetry for a living, so something like this is something I would use on the daily. However, whenever I go to input measurements, it takes triple the amount of time it should because the keypad collapses before I’m able to do so. If this issue is resolved, this is a great option. Until then, this app is useless. iPhone 12 Pro Max, latest software.

For whatever reason the popup numeric key pad for entering measurements keeps closing as soon as a move my finger over it? So far this is mostly worthless. The calculations and layout look nice after I was able to enter my data after 200 attempts. It's like playing "Wack a Mole" just to get your numbers in. And its not that fun. As others have stated, I too would be willing to pay a few cents per use or buy it at a reasonable price, but 4.99 a Month is over the top for a weekender like me. It's not like it's gonna pay for itself in wasted wood. I can ruin an entire sheet of nice $50 plywood. For the annual cost of this app. Plus with a tiny bit more effort I can do the same layouts in SketchUp, for FREE! With no scam free trials. To the developer: wouldn't you rather have 10% of something, than 100% of Nothing?
