Readefine

Readefine really is such a great app, idea, and name. As a graduate student, it’s helping me as a I read complex language for my coursework. I love that it works on PDFs that I download from my University’s library! It’s a great extension for both my phone and my computer. It loads on the webpage seamlessly with great readefinitions provided. I specifically use the “learning” mode because I still like to see the complex language, and then have the ability to hover over the readefinition if I need help understanding the word. Highly recommend!

Although I personally enjoy obscure words that can make a text more colorful, Readefine really does a great job simplifying texts for ease of reading. I think it would be super helpful to people just learning to speak English. Yet even a native English speaker can benefit from it.
