Good app, but there’s still some issues immediately going in

First of all, when the subscription is being advertised, it doesn’t list all the features it contains which is annoying. This makes you have to guess what you have access to or not, since “Pro” widgets don’t have a label indicating their exclusivity when going through the menus (only when you’re about to create one). So, I think that’s a very much needed feature. Additionally, upon unknowingly choosing a “Pro” widget, noticing it’s not available to you, and pressing the cancel button to go back to the selection menu, it opens the “buy the Pro version” screen which is annoying. This forces you to slide downward to ACTUALLY go back which is not intuitive. Other than that, it’s probably decent, granted you buy the Pro version. There’s plenty of customization and plenty of widgets.

Missing Features, More Money.

I already purchased this app, and now the app is asking me to pay a subscription to keep using it. That’s ugly. Previous purchasers should have been grandfathered in. Version 1 gave us the ability to choose where clicking on the widget went (either Hidgets app or Health app). This feature is missing, and it was half of the reason for keeping the app as it made manual tracking data much easier. Version 2.0 does not have this feature. Version 2.0 brings a much prettier UI, but it also contains typos. Overall this update has a better UI, but the UX (specifically previous customer experience) is bad. — As an update to your response, I don’t mind you having a subscription model, but you didn’t do right by previous purchasers. We should have been grandfathered into your free forever tier - we’ve already purchased the product. Either that or you should’ve release a new app called Hidgets 2.0 and not removed the old but functioning version of the product - people would’ve moved to 2.0 if it was a better version of the product (which again, removed the key feature of being able to click straight through to the Health app). Also there was no sunsetting of the previous version, it was just gone one day. This is another reason previous users were upset - their product was taken without warning. Lastly, your response to me and other 1.0 users shows no contrition. It’s cold. I don’t think people’s main problem is feeling like you took $3 or whatever the previous app cost - it’s that you did it with no warning and no care for previous users.

Could be better

This app is great, but doesn’t allow you to track TOTAL calories (I.e. the combination of what the Health app refers to as Active and Resting calories). Apple buries this total calories number within the fitness app (see subtext under Move calories in the day overview), but this third-party app is not designed to replicate that number in a widget. This is something that should be easily addressed.
