The new way of pro’s getting shifts is terrible! All of the pro’s have been talking about it the past two weeks. It’s hard to say who this new update is benefiting. What’s the point of being a freelancer through the Gigpro app when the platform picks and sends out jobs for you? The best way thus far was how Qwick used to do it. The pro would see all the available shift matches they are qualified to work, apply to it and the shift would be added to the schedule. When GigPro took over , there was a slight change where you had to apply to the shift and might or might not get selected for it, which was Okay to some extent. Now, you don’t get to choose which shifts to pick up anymore. The ones they have been sending are random, usually too far like 90+ miles away and shifts you normally don’t go for. Since the new way of “matching shifts” I have had less shifts and a slow work week through the GigPro app and not have had hardly any shifts in my “matches “ tab. All the pros are complaining and saying that they will start being more active on another gig job platforms and end up letting Gigpro go. That’s sad because I really enjoyed working and finding shifts through Gigpro. I will also start keeping an eye out on other gig / work platforms to fill in my days.
Been with them for years, today was the worst experience ever with GigPro. I use GigPro for extra money because I got a full time job. Yesterday I pick up a gig and worked 10 long hours to pay car note, after my shift I was told I didn’t show up and also got suspended. Called the people I worked for to tell them that the app said that I didn’t show and I didn’t get paid. Well, they said they contacted GigPro through the messenger app because they don’t even have a phone number for me or for the company I worked for to confirm that I worked. The company Hewitt Oaks ask me to please come to work the following day and they’ll fix this. I want to go buy my car note was due today and I’m literally sick because I been loyal to gig pro for over 2 years. Yeah I’ll get payed eventually but if you’re looking for a gig to get payed the same day to handle your business, I recommend pan handling before GigPro. And they suspended my account so I can’t apply for any other jobs until they fix the issue. I’m in the App Store looking for a better app now and i recommend you all do the same. Hey you new and up coming tech guys I wish y’all could create a better app for my generation, this one done ran its course. Also me and other people who showed up for GigPro was trying to clock in and none of us couldn’t clock in on the app. Of course I’m still using it until I find something better, I ain’t dumb, but I’m just warning those who is about to give it a try. Thank me later
It took me over a month to get my first gig booked, the gig was approved for me only 40 minutes before the event began. I’ve had one event so far, I have applied to probably 20. I completed my orientation and have a solid profile. I had two events booked for this week yesterday Tuesday the 14th and today, Wednesday the 15th. Tuesday a little more than two hours before the gig was to begin, the property just canceled it. Following that I had an emergency for today and canceled the gig just under 24 hours. I gave a thorough reason as to why I was missing it. It was an actual serious emergency involving one of my children. Gigpro sent me a message stating that my profile had been flagged for a call out. I think it is unfair that a business can confirm an event, have you counting on the funds from that event, and then cancel it two hours before your start time. Then to follow up with more stringent rules for the workers on the app, if you have a bona fide emergency, you’re penalized for it even though you give way more notice than the business before canceling. It’s a good platform if you can actually be selected for work. I haven’t had the experience I was expecting
