Hamster Tycoon : Cake Maker

I progressed because I bought the VIP, couldn’t help it because the art was some of the cutest I’ve seen and I know from playing these zig zag idles in the past that it is bound to be VERY ad punctuated. Watching an ad for the flying cash is worth 100 fully done cakes (or at least as far as you’ve built the assembly line) and doubling every task reward is almost a must over time or you’ll hit a drought with the nuts. Without being able to upgrade the little guys with, you can’t automate and you’re sitting there unhappy for hours or days waiting for the free boxes to pop up or spending an arm and a leg to get better ones. All of this is standard for these games though, so I didn’t mind. What I do mind, however, is that I can’t click to buy extra cards of the 3 options at the top of the chest store at all anymore for some reason. I restart the app, restart my phone, reload the screen, nothing helps, I just can’t click them at all. I refreshed with my VIP one time and now I can’t click refresh or buy cards no matter what I do. Not only that, but most of the time I can’t double my earnings either when I click the “x2” at the bottom of the main game. It will maybe let me do it once a day all the way to 6 hours and then whenever I check back later it says 8hrs 23mins and I can’t click anything. When I click the VIP button here, it just says “applying...” and won’t let me click out of it. I am forced to close the app and reopen it if I do this. These glitches are super annoying, the art is the only thing keeping me in the game. Without it being so dad gum cute (and buying VIP...), I would’ve been too frustrated to continue.

I enjoyed playing it and it wasn’t too much of a wall but now I barely check the game. I got to a point where you REALLY need bolts to buy specific machine cards, which are random spawn in the store, and then upgrade the machines. Which up until now haven't been an issue at all and I was at level with my managers. So it made playing SO painful and slow because I couldn't even complete the challenges that give out bolts because I needed managers or to make money.... Which you can't do if you have no managers at the high level I am. I finally made enough to get the machine upgraded so I can go from making $2 for a cake tin to $2C for uncooked cake batter but I still have to level up a machine card THREE TIMES. Idk how much I'm going to play. It's such a jump from needing zero machine cards upgraded to needing the two FIRST machines at level 5. It just stops all progress unless you want to spend money to roll in opening loot boxes in the hopes of getting machine cards or enough bolts to level up the cards you do have. I just wanted a fun cake factory game with hamsters :c Up until this factory I really enjoyed playing. Now it's just depressing.

I really enjoyed the smooth feeling of progress, and almost never had to really be stuck on a level for days until now. I’ve gotten stuck trying to get the oven manager on level 28 for three days now, which requires brazier door level 5. This is ridiculous and I was nowhere near that, just barely to level three. If it’s not in the store for gears, and I’ve already refreshed, then I have to wait another day to try again. It’s impossible to meet any of the goals when one is placing the manager, one is making money, and one is jump upgrading. There is no way to make good offline money like this because everything stops after the first machine. I would love to see the requirements for this manager be changed to level 4 brazier door, or add a fourth slot for purchasing cards with gear and a shorter refresh timer! Besides all this, I love the art, it’s a really enjoyable concept, and I don’t actually find the ads too intrusive. I would love to see more variety in the music, perhaps a few other tracks you can pick from or choose to cycle?
