Feedback

Some immediate criticism after trying the app: - During the onboarding, the user is asked their preference for the start page (dashboard or map)—for an app that they have never used before (that’s why it’s called onboarding)! That doesn’t make sense. You’re asking me about something I haven’t seen yet. - Default appearance is light, not system, which is an unusual default for apps. - When you zoom out, the bubble for the price is partially covered by an even smaller red bubble for no. of stations. The small bubble covers the part of price so that you can’t read it. It doesn’t matter that it’s the last digit: Not being able to see the full price is confusing and terrible UI. The text inside the red bubble isn’t correctly aligned either. - The fact that petrol stations are grouped together when you zoom out can be very confusing, especially in the route planner. (The route planner is a great idea, of course.) It makes me think that petrol stations are somewhere where they aren’t. - The app doesn’t highlight the very cheapest station among the cheaper ones. - Contrary to what the developers claim in a response to another negative review, the app still does *not* remember the fuel type you select in the map view. There are many more UI crimes. Whoever designs this doesn’t know much about interface design and doesn’t follow any of the design guidelines published for free by Apple. It’s sad to see something that could be great but is so badly implemented. And this is only what I saw after trying to use this app for a few minutes. I think this is an instance of where the people designing and programming the app don’t ever use the app by themselves.

Keep losing fuel type

Good app, but every time I open the app. I have to go and update my fuel type. A pain.

Good overall

I have used this app for a while and usually it’s pretty accurate however I drove 12 km to get cheaper fuel from a Woolworths Service Station which turned out to be closed with no prices displayed of course do where they got their prices from I have no idea🤷🏼‍♀️!! Having said that this is still one of the most useful fuel apps around.
