Windmill is my new favorite product — and this app is a big reason why. I’m never going back to the old days when I couldn’t adjust my AC temp on my phone :)

This is the legacy windmill app, only for older AC units. So because of that I don’t think I’ll upgrade further because at some point I’ll have some AC on the old app, and some on the new app. The app gives the most basic of controls. Turning on/off and setting temp. I WISH there were more options for scheduling. Setting a start and stop time when the outdoor temp is a certain number to help conserve electricity. Also scheduling different modes. So bedroom can switch to cool 30 min before bed.

This app is no longer working properly in iOS 16 and needs an update (device doesn’t show in the list unless you toggle list visibility). Also the AC doesn’t seem to understand Fahrenheit it only seems to work in Celsius unless you specify Fahrenheit when telling the number over Google assistant. Lastly, why do newer customers have a better and well supported app? Why punish old customers?
