Art Blitz

Have had this app for many years. It is a very good app in and of itself. But there is one flaw, which I feel is an important one. It’s concerning the puzzles that have four quarters which join together to make one big picture, after completing all four sections. Once starting a puzzle, or completing one sections, two sections, etc if you have to go out of the puzzle, you have to start over completely. People owning this puzzle app, listen—really listen. These are real, normal people leading normal lives… most if us who have to pause for everyday normal daily duties, functions, family obligations. We may play the game off and on during the day when we have spare minutes/ time.. not being able to sit for hours straight. That’s wonderful for those who can. Please… please consider those of us who cannot. Truly, this can’t be too much to ask?? Thanks for your time and please reconsider.

This game has a wide variety of art of different genres, styles, countries, and periods...Lots of artists familiar in standard art history books such as Renoir, Picasso, JW Waterhouse, and Franz Marc, but I’ve enjoyed “meeting” and “re-meeting” many other lesser-known artists as well. (These pictures are all very detailed and representational, though, so you won’t find much - if any - Abstract Expressionism and Minimalism, if that’s what you prefer.) The puzzles are pretty quick and generally easy to do, which usually turns me off, but there’s something very soothing and satisfying about watching the vertical, then horizontal, strips “click” together, and then being introduced to a new painting, engraving, etc. (I’m on level/picture 438 now, and I’m still enjoying it.) (A tip: hopefully this is still in effect when you see this, but something I love about this app is the ability to eventually get rid of ads permanently by deliberately watching a few each day for several days/weeks(? I forget) until you reach a certain number. This doesn’t include the ones the game runs automatically; you have to click on one of the screen’s side icons and watch them there. Great idea for those who like to “get the bad stuff out of the way first” - I wish this would become standard in other games as well.) To the developers: thanks for both the app and the ability to earn ads-free status (makes the game a lot more fun to play.) Keep up the good work (ie., more levels please)! ;)

Art student here and the art selection is great. I love that it’s relaxing, interesting and the puzzle play is unique. Don’t listen to the whiners about ease of level. There’s plenty of hard puzzles out there to frustrate you if that’s your idea of game play. These same people will eventually complain it’s too hard then want to uninstall. This is for people who like art and enjoy relaxing with puzzles. The ads are so the workers behind this game can pay bills. You can look away for 30 seconds or shell out the money for the game like I did. It’s cheaper than a movie and lasts longer. DEVELOPERS: please include option to zoom in after finishing each puzzle. More levels too please!
