Flow Journal: Writing a Diary

Let’s start by diving into the negatives. I saw someone’s idea about creating an account for this and I think that is a great idea so that I don’t lose my journal entries I’m most likely going to be using this app for years and so I wouldn’t want to lose years of my life written down with pictures. Also I think it would be a good idea to not only add pictures but videos to your journal entry because I take a lot of pictures and videos a day. Finally it’s hard to scroll through all of the journal entries and takes a while. That’s really the only complaints I have which aren’t even complaints and could just be extra features added into the premium version in the future. I have been using this app for half a year and It’s served me well. It has a great free version and I’m grateful for that because they could easily give me a limited amount of entries or a character limit and make me pay money to actually do anything in the app but they didn’t. This app is simple easy to use and extremely useful there are pretty much no problems with it and it has unique ideas and is exactly what I was looking for when searching for a journaling app. Well done

I just started using this app today and you know what it’s really not a bad app! I like how it’s simple, bright, and a cute theme it has. But there are some issues. First, I want to add any past journals. Like adding a journal that I probably missed yesterday. Second, I want more questions. I want it to ask me “How are you feeling today?” And we can choose or create a mood. I wanna also have profile pictures and dark themes. I think some people would’ve love to have a dark theme so it can less likely to damage their eyes when they are journaling at night or an early morning. I want to add profile photos for our account only because I love to have one. Lastly, I want an account. I want something that can save all my journals and I can login/log out anytime. Hopefully this helps improve the app. :)

I like this because it removes the barrier of me going to get my journal out of my bag and actually sitting down to write. It’s very easy to pop my phone out and write as I think of things, and I love adding images to angry, makes for a rich memory experience as well as adding screen shots of conversations so I can reference things without having to do a recap of events. I don’t love not being able to just flow through entries like a narrative. You have go select an entry to read it, go out of the entry and select a new one. The trend tracking is nice but I don’t really use it, being able to more easily see my thoughts in my own words, like skimming all my entries at once would be more useful. Same thought for the images within the entry. If I add more than one image I want to be able to select that image and scroll through them without having to close it and reopen the next one. Overall a good little app but a google doc would possibly be better for my needs, but this interface is nice visually.
