Tainted Grail Companion

I really enjoy the app it does everything I could hope and would expect to improve QOL however, my only feedback is early on in the starting location 101 (small spoiler ahead)… the rest at home option in the app for a fully lit Menhir gives you 2 health and -2 terror while the 2.0 journal gives you 4 health and -3 terror. This makes me have to have the book and app out so that I can be sure of the values which defeats some of the point. Overall though I’m okay with doing this since it doesn’t take away from the atmosphere, voice over experience, and quick reference capabilities (after confirming) provided.

It’s free, it supports all the content, it has good voice-over work and music, and it integrates well with the game (a particular diplomacy encounter in Fall of Avalon 3A is a good example) while helping to avoid spoilers. Yes the interface is a bit clunky and needing to take my phone off of silent makes no sense. But I’m highly appreciative of it and use it in every play. 4*

Only giving it a 4/5 stars because the app doesn’t switch to landscape view, which is a real bummer for the iPad, seeing how the iPad is standing landscape from its case. Maybe there will be a landscape view in the future, which at that point I’ll switch my 4/5 stars to 5 stars. Great music. Great for its beginning stages, able to follow the game’s journal while not revealing accidental spoilers.
