I love how this app lets me delve deeper into my library and helps me rediscover albums I had forgotten about. Every pixel is intentionally placed and designed making it incredibly fun and easy to use. I am 100% a huge fan.
10+ years ago there was a simple and beautiful app called “Albums” with a similar concept: pick some favorites, play them with one tap. Then it disappeared. I’ve missed it ever since - so much so that I’ve periodically browsed the store just hoping another developer would take a crack at it. A few have, but no one’s nailed the elegance of the original until now. This one nails it - and substantially improves on that concept without compromising the simplicity and immediacy that made its predecessor great. Every detail and interaction is polished, natural and intentional. This thing was clearly made by someone who loves music and listens to albums. If that’s you as well, it’s your lucky day.
I love the design and function of this app. It works beautifully with my synced music library (I don’t use the Apple Music service) and I love having the ability to heart albums—it’s like leaving a few of my current favorites out by the record player so I can put one on on a whim. And once I’ve overplayed it, I can just put it back on the shelf and make room for more. Very well done!
