This app has been wonderful for my children and I. We just switched to a paid subscription.
I’m learning a lot as we build our dictionary of character cards in just a few minutes of practice every day. I love how the creators structure the lessons in a way that builds on previous learning. I’m also a visual learner, and the way they show the meaning behind the characters makes them easy for me to remember and understand. It’s teaching me, the adult, quite a bit while they play and its brought the family closer. We’re learning together.
I use the app with my 7 and 4 year old daughter and son. I love it as much as they do, lol. 5/5!

I have children ages 6, 4, and 3 years old. I thought at first that only my youngest child would enjoy it, but after playing around with this app all three of my kids love it and can benefit from it. There are games, literacy activities and picture books too. My kids love the fun games like the food making one and the picture editing one. Also I can track my kids’ progress and how they are performing, how awesome! When it comes to my kids, I am very picky with the apps that I allow them to play and I can honestly say iHuman Chinese is worth it!

We received an email right after we signed up for a subscription asking us to consent to letting ihuman collect and use our child’s information. We ignored the request. However, we received another email the day later saying that we have granted them access to use our child’s information. We have reached out to the company multiple times, and no one ever responded to our concern. Please think twice before downloading and using this app. If they don’t believe in respecting your and your child’s data privacy, the app can easily exploit the loophole in your device and collect/use those information as well. We are very disappointed with them collecting our child’s data without our consent. No matter how good the app is, having them use our data without restraint is just not worth it.
