I was unable to thrift due to some physical mobility issues. This was a great way to get items and still supplement my income vs no income from not being able to source. The reason for not 5 stars is that I received several items that were described as "gently used" condition but upon receiving the items they were in barely sellable condition with holes, stains, and fabric worn nearly tissue paper thin and crumbling elastic. The flaws affect my estimate of what price I am able to sell the items at. As an experiment, I have listed the flawed items with flaws noted and shown in photos to see if the item will sell. The experiment is ongoing so I do not have a conclusion on that aspect yet. But in the future I will be more discerning on which lots I apply for.
I downloaded this app a while ago to see how much I would get for some clothing, I was happy when I started reviewing offers but I ended up deciding to sell the clothes on my own. I decided to try this app again recently and downloaded it again, well they completely changed their structure and now you have to get paired up with a seller, they promise you that you will be matched up within 24 hours. I have good brands that I see have been sold recently, it has been 3-4 days and my lot is still under review and has not been paired with sellers, it has been 48 hours and customer service has yet to email back about the issue. How can they claim to be matched within 24 hours but they can’t respond to emails or match me in 3 days. I will update the review once everything has been solved. If you need money from clothing faster I recommend just selling to platos closet or Buffalo exchange. Updated: after a few days of trying to get a hold of them they finally got back to me. They were very sorry about the situation and immediately fixed the issue and improved the app. I’m very excited to use this app in the future! Definitely 5 star service after they realized their mistakes
Let’s be real, selling your old stuff can take a really long time; weeks or even months, sometimes. When you need cash fast, you just can’t wait around for someone to hopefully buy your stuff in enough time. That’s the reason I decided to try using flyp. I was a little hesitant and skeptical at first. I braced myself for the worst, because that’s was always my experiences trying to sell anywhere else. I waited for the bad customer service, but I didn’t get it. I waited for my things to mysteriously get lost or ruined after I sent it out, but it didn’t happen. I waited to get a cruddy price and be disappointed, and that didn’t happen either. From start to finish the process was smooth sailing and effortless. Flyp exceeded all of my expectations and it made the process of selling my stuff really easy and stress-free. I’ll never go back to selling stuff the old school way. Looking back, I wish I had discovered this app sooner. It would have saved me so much time, disappointment, and headaches. Take my advice, don’t waste your time trying any other selling company. If you want the best – flip is it!
