This is a cool app that has promise but unfortunately between technical glitches and other problems with the app, the turnaround time for messages takes too long. There were two challenges in which my workouts were uploaded but for whatever reason I did not sync. I sent in my message before the challenge was completed but turnaround time took longer than expected and so I was not credited for those challenges. When money is involved in your doing this stuff, I just think turnaround time needs to be factored in and I just don’t think they have enough staff yet.

I downloaded the app because I thought it was a great concept and a cool idea to motivate people to get fit. While I still think the concept is great, the execution from the company and the way the app works is just not great. It’s very clumsy with a confusing interface and many things are slow to respond. Transferring money in and out of your account I have found to be a nightmare solely because the interface doesn’t work. And the biggest problem I have is even getting into the app. It’s doesn’t save your login which means I have to do it each time I want to check the app but then it doesn’t even let you log in. I have legitimately gotten into the app 3 times in the past 4 weeks and that is not from a lack of trying. Plus it’s not secure. Resetting your password is altogether too easy where you don’t need verification you just need to know the email. So when I’m using an app where I’m spending money yet I’m not able to access that money hardly ever and it feels like anyone could just steal my password at any time I just don’t think I can justify using it. Maybe in the future when some of the bugs are fixed and the app is easier to navigate but not right now.

I was introduced to Cadoo about six months ago and I thought it was an interesting concept. I put down some money and entered a competition. I was in the winning group and I almost doubled my money.
The team at Cadoo has been working hard to create a platform that will allow anyone to compete with friends or random people in a variety of athletic challenges. I was skeptical at first, but I have tested it out and it works well and keeps things fair (as distance is tracked through the Strava platform).
The app has improved a lot since I first installed it, which means to me that the developers are interested in creating a product that is fun and easy to use.
