Time-Line - Timeline Tracking

I have been looking for an app like this for a while, to help organize the books I write. However, this app does not cut it. Reasons: 1) it does not support any date system other than the normal American one (Chinese and Hebrew calendars would be nice, but I’m a science fiction/fantasy writer, so a completely customizable one would be nice to fit my world). 2) Cannot organize events easily. You have to go into each one and change the date, and if the date is the same, you can’t make one go first or last in the order you want. It would be great if you could simply hold-and-drag them to better organize events of a story, kind of like storyboards. 3) less than a week after I purchased this app and already put in an entire book’s worth of events, it randomly deleted all of my data in every timeline I had on the app. #3 is definitely the most grievous.

I’m writing a story and this really helps me keep their lives in order and organized. It’s super helpful. I do wish they had a feature where you could create folders and combine timelines. Specifically the combining timelines. They have a feature where your can change the colour of the timeline, but I would find it very useful if you could have multiple timelines in different colours on the same page so that we don’t have to go back and forth when comparing the timelines of different people. If this is already a feature that I don’t know how to use, please do tell me! Just a suggestion! It’s a great app.

I have been using this to keep track of the timeline in something I’m writing. It is a great app for novelists, historians, biographers, TV/script writers.... It is easy to change the dates of events if the timeline needs to be adjusted, and you can even put times of day for items that fall on the same date. I have used colors as the images to color-code various over-lapping storylines. I started with one huge timeline but started running into some issues so I broke it down into different segments as separate timelines. This would work for chapters as well. I found out that you can only create a few timelines for free. The cost is $0.99 and that doesn’t appear to be a subscription, so worth it. Be sure to have enough iCloud storage!
