The prior update broke the app and removed English text so buttons are not readable. It’s been fixed in the new update. However the remote control functionality is still broken now. I can not adjust the speed with the teleprompter remote. Also can not use the up and down buttons. Luckily I can still start and stop it. However this feature needs to be fixed ASAP. Unfortunately I have to leave this review here. When it works the app has served us well with the teleprompter we purchased. However with multiple bad app updates the developer needs to work harder on quality control of new releases. I recommend disabling automatic app updates so you don’t run into issues with this app if you rely on it. Team Bestview, can you please push another update with remote control fixes? Thank you!

I just received this device today in the mail. It was super easy to setup and download the app for it. Once I connected the remote to my phone via Bluetooth, I then opened the app. The first thing that appeared was a composition pop up. I copied and pasted my text from a document that I had open in the background. Then I hit save at the bottom of this composer. My text was now saved as one of the items that I could select. Once I selected it, my phone automatically went into teleprompter mode and I was able to adjust the settings just fine by tapping on the “hamburger“ three lines menu. The remote work fine and the app worked fine. I tested my recording to see if the words would appear in my video and thankfully they did not. Overall I give this product 5 starts because I didn’t have any issues once I received it. Sorry for those of you who experienced something different the first time. It’s probably because of you that the company made these adjustments.

You cannot import file text or copy/paste text into the app. This makes entering scripts by essentially "texting" words into the app a total NIGHTMARE. What an unbelievably weak piece of software. Copy/paste is one of the most basic functions in software and in this case it is CENTRAL to the core purpose of the app. I have been a software engineer for 25 years and I can say that failing to provide this basic feature is so pathetic for a programmer that it is embarrassing. I will be using this app when I teach other programmers on how not to be a bad programmer. That will actually make this app useful. The hardware engineers are clearly better. Maybe the hardware engineer made the phone app, which would explain it. Stick to what you're good at please. The kit for my DSLR camera is great and the remote control is awesome. The only problem with the whole thing is this stupid copy/paste blunder, which degrades the experience of the entire product. Epic Fail!!! One star for the hardware engineer. Cannot give more than that.
