First of all, provide data and privacy details. That’s just concerning. **** It’s a shame that such amazing content is hosted by such an obnoxious person. Haley is so annoying and loud. She’s ridiculous, promotes breaking things, spends more time yelling and talking about gross stuff than actually speaking about real science. Stevebot is a much welcome presence and feels like a more “experienced” teacher than the human. This program completely forgets about special needs kids who wouldn’t understand the multiple, ridiculous puns and sarcastic “jokes” and makes it hard for them to relate or feel included. Just a shame. Not worth paying for this.
I was so excited to find this app since I’m starting the Human Body unit with my online students. I thought this would be a great resource to use with them and even share with parents so students could follow along. I was so disappointed when I got past The skeletal system and it wanted me to pay. So far this is the best and most kid friendly app I’ve found to use in my class.
Forced. If I want to cover just the skeletal system...no!! This app won’t let you, you have to do the boring phone call with Haley first where she wastes your time telling you how amazing she is. Don’t dare try to teach your children yourselves and decide the order to proceed in. This app will tell you. Don’t you dare try to skip a video or activity to perhaps come back to later or is a little too above the grade level...this app won’t let you. All over the place. How come the very first lesson about the human body is cloning? Like seriously. This bounces around from relevant material to irrelevant material. Look, there are countless apps out there that offer material outside the human body. You don’t have to be that. Too full of itself. Haley has a personality. That’s great. Yet she is so full of dancing and look at me, look how entertaining I am, watch me, than any actual lesson is lost. The material itself is interesting enough if presented right. Clearly it’s not present correctly if Haley has to do the entertainment instead of letting the material do it. Save your time, save your child’s brain. Go elsewhere.
