Once inheritance is established, it can’t be changed. Cards can’t move from one deck to the next or copied from one deck to the next so if you are using it to store the places of items then you can’t change the place without erasing the card and then creating it anew in a new spot. Cards can only be copied into the same deck that they are currently in...if I have movies on one shelf then I want to move it to another shelf, I have to erase a whole card with all of its information (including notes, tags, and category) and create another card entering that same information all over again....
