The service in general has come a long way from its early days. The web presence definitely improved from its clunky UX beginnings. The app is a work in progress as new features are being added every couple of weeks and the design changes regularly. A new feature called Play will be rolled out soon. Recently, the changes are more tweaks to make the website and app comparable experiences. It still needs some work, as buttons aren't lined up on mobile and colors aren't consistent, but I give them 4 stars for showing commitment to improving the UX for the service over all after years of stagnation.

For as long as this app has been around you’d think they could have found and fixed these bugs and their email links. Any other company that sends me emails will have the links open in their app that I have installed. In this app it opens in a web page which I then have to log into to receive my points, etc.. This seems like an easy fix that they are ignoring. They fixed it for a short time but it’s broken again. Inside the app if you want to redeem points and choose one of the category filters you get zero results. Also, Disney, change up your rewards more frequently. The majority of the movies for instance have been in the rewards for years. I’d love to redeem my points but not for movies I already have or some of the other sad choices of movies or rewards. Throw a more current movie in once in a while. Otherwise it’s more like torture than rewards. Disney’s not making it easy to be a Disney insider. Developer, please don’t respond with your email address asking me to contact you about the problem. Frankly, I see the issues described in this review in about a hundred reviews going back at least two years with the exact same developer response and the problem is never solved. I and the other people reviewing this app have clearly explained what needs to be fixed and we don’t need the same excuse response that gives the impression you want to fix the problems when you clearly have ignored them for years. Just fix it already.

There’s ups and downs to this app. The ups, it’s easier to redeem rewards. However, to that point. When I was doing the filter to look at available rewards, the filter would only stay for a few minutes and then do it’s own thing. I was putting in the filter for high to low points. I was scanning through and before I knew it it would show the thinking sign and then list a whole bunch of redeemable items which wasn’t being listed by points. So then I had to go back to filter and press a different button to list a different filter before I could go back to high to low points. The. I would go back through the whole process again. If none of this is coming through correctly, that’s cause I can’t see anything that I’m typing other than what’s being put on my word suggestion list as I type. I would show a screen shot of what I’m doing, but I can’t see anything... anyways, another bug to fix apparently. ... I’m going to type onto another format and then paste it into here so I know what I’m saying will be saying correctly and I can get my point across. Cant see what I’m at or what’s being done. I typed out a whole thing and ‘paste’ is not a option. So major bugs are here on this app. Well if you want to know the rest of the issues, email me cause I can’t paste them and finish what I was trying to communicate about. MAJOR BUGS.
