I’ve been using By Rotation for a while now, and I’m so impressed by how thoughtful this app is. It’s such a brilliant way to enjoy fashion without constantly buying new items. The idea of sharing and renting clothes has really changed how I think about my wardrobe.
What I love most is the sense of community. It’s not just about renting clothes—it feels like being part of a group of people who genuinely care about fashion and sustainability. The app is super easy to use, and I’ve had only positive experiences with both renting and lending my own pieces. It’s great to see my clothes being enjoyed by others rather than just sitting in my closet.
By Rotation has made it possible for me to experiment with different styles without feeling guilty about contributing to fast fashion. If you’re looking for a way to refresh your wardrobe and make more sustainable choices, I can’t recommend this app enough.

As a new user of this type of service,
I was blown away by the inventory and customer service in the NY office. It was such fun having my closet grow, and Grace in NY made it a smooth experience. She even helped select some items for some important work events I had this summer. Her great style and lovely personality made an online app feel like a personal shopper experience. The concept is just what we need in today’s excessive world. Sharing our resources and helping each other feel good about our personal style—will definitely use again and spread the word.

Renters can keep the items longer honestly if they want to because the only power the app gives u is if kept longer than what they purchased all u can do is just send over an invoice and they have the CHOICE to pay or to not pay. Most don’t pay it. Which is unfair to lenders. The site also takes 20% of earnings and that rate is also being taken out of the shipping rate that you charged the renter. So if ur renter is in a hurry/wants it over night and u pay for a shipping label that’s $60, But the cost of the rental is $25. They will combine the $60 and $25 and take 20% out of that. That makes it to where $17 is being taking out of ur $25 instead of $5 because the $60 that was charged, goes towards buying the label. Which at times leaves u thinking what was the point of u even lending it out. Will I rent from this app yes because it’s better for the renter but lending ABSOLUTELY NOT. I will be taking my item down honestly.
