I’ve Jazzercised since 2012 and always have enjoyed the workouts. In 2018, I moved to the middle of nowhere and the closest class was 4 hours away. 😳 At that time, JOD didn’t exist, and I struggled through another (very popular) online workout program. In 2019, JOD came out and I literally had tears in my eyes during my first workout. It was like seeing an old friend again. Yes, the music is different than in class (due to licensing), but I actually like it - and I’ve heard many of the songs in the background of shows and commercials since hearing them on JOD. The instructors are amazing, the workouts are fantastic, and the variety of workouts offered couldn’t be better. I’ve always said that anyone who danced or cheered when they were younger will love Jazzercise, but even if you’ve ever just been curious, try it! I highly recommend!
I have been Jazzercising for many years. I love the workout. The reason I stopped going to class and joined on line is because of the instructors singing. I have also taken other dance classes and fitness classes and the instructors don’t sing to the music. One of the best parts of the class is the music. And, even though the on line version can’t use popular music like they do in class, I still like to hear it without the instructor singing. Adrienne is the worst about it. She’ll actually say “oh I love this song” and then sing and talk through the entire thing! I don’t mind great instructions on how to do a move, but the continuous chatter is annoying! I don’t know of any other fitness or dance instructors who sing, yet Jazzercise is filled with them! I’ve been to several locations throughout New York, California and Nevada and the best instructors are the ones who DON’T sing to the music. You’re not in concert ladies! Stop it!
Okay, I am so happy to have come across this app. Previously a Jazzercise member but did not have the energy or time to continue. I had a very hard time making it to classes due to teaching all day and suffering from fibromyalgia. I had no other choice but to cancel my membership. Now, I have access to workout at my own time without the drive. Also, there are many choices to choose from. For example, I select the 20 minute workouts to help me work up my fitness level. I absolutely love the weight workouts that are built in the sessions!! The music isn’t that bad either. I’ve read where some reviewers have complained but it actually is kind up refreshing to hear music that isn’t mainstream. It may be pricey for an exercise app but it will not disappoint! I say try it out and see!!
