Originally I was using PowerPoint and creating my own playbooks because I didn’t like the functionality of the apps available, another coach from another team that coached 7on7 with said he used this app so I tried it out and haven’t used anything since. They keep adding functions that make it even better. I also love that I can add my coaching staff and players. I was using Playmaker Tackle for tackle and Playmaker Flag for 7 but just decided to use Playmaker Tackle and reduce the player count so I didn’t have to pay for both apps and just archive the playbook I am not using during that season. I will stay a user fora long time!

I’ve used playmaker tackle football and playmaker flag for a few years now. Both were pretty useful in putting ideas down on paper in a clear and concise way. Playmaker x continues In the tradition of the previous playmakers, but it has added animation to the app. I really love the animation. The coaches I work with like and the kids really liked as well. The problem have is that it isn’t as easy to use as I would like it to be.
Animating the players is pretty easy. Point then in a direction and they move.
Animating the football is a much tougher. As a person with big hands, it’s tough for me to move the football without moving the lineman, Qb or running back. A fix to this would be a zoom feature onto the screen so that u can actually see what you’re trying to do. It would make following the lines a lot easier as well.
The football should also default to the star player on the screen. That would help with making the plays.
There are also a few widgets in the program that I haven’t seen defined. So I don’t know what their purpose is for.

Money well spent on the print option. I’ve added all my other coaches to the account and they are understanding our plays better than before. I love all of the options to print and as a youth coach it helps having the diagrams to constantly show the kids.
I’m not sure how great it would be if I only used the phone app, but I use an iPad and it is perfect.
