Cryptohopper - Crypto Trading

Have been using the service itself for around 3 weeks and so far I’m a satisfied customer. I’m up around $200 on my initial $1500 investment. The app itself is overall pretty well designed, functional, and easy to navigate. However, it is super buggy, often my balances are WAY off. Sometimes, I will open it to check and it will tell me that over 90% of my portfolio is gone! Conversely, it has a tendency to add the amount of an open order to my portfolio and make my balances look higher than they are. Other than that, cryptohopper is pretty sweet. I’m a novice and there is probably a ton of utility that I’m not even using, so I imagine it can be even better for someone who is more knowledgeable and experienced.

I was constantly looking at my phone trying to time the buy and sell of a bitcoin position when the price moved a bit. Emotions would get in the way and it would sometimes cost money. With Cryptohopper, I can create rules for when the bot should buy and when it should sell. Now I wake up to a few trades that were executed automatically as the price moved overnight and I barely watch the price movement anymore. Highly recommend!

I’m somewhere between 3 and 4 stars. This has done a fantastic job keeping me up to date and notified. Which seems to be your goal for this app. What is especially helpful is it allows me to get a feel for how strategies are triggering during certain market conditions in real-time with the push notifications. Two bugs that are frustrating but not deal breakers: 1) When I’m in the config settings I’m not able to tap the back breadcrumb on the top left. I have to start from the beginning by tapping on the bottom right “...More”. I’m on an iPhone XS max. 2) For some reason I can’t get my simulation hopper to display in the app. I get push notifications from it but it isn’t appearing anywhere in the app. Features that would make it 5 stars: 1. Charts with bars visualizing trade history like in your backtesting feature in the browser. Just so you can see where this are getting triggered. 2. Ability to change strategies in the configuration. 3. More charting and analysis options in general because I’m finding myself having to jump back and fourth between this app and my charting apps. But I realize this may not be part of the purpose you set out to achieve for this app.
