Yes this has 12 custom fingerings. However, I got this expecting to play it like a clarinet. So in my mind the “transpose” buttons do not function. When I create custom fingerings that make perfect sense to me as a clarinet player and want to play a sharp G it plays a different note entirely like very different. That is because this instrument was designed for people who have never seen a woodwind in their lives. The sharp button is not actually a sharp button it does not take the note you play and make it sharp. Same with the flat button. This becomes extremely apparent when you see the default fingerings. However, there is a super easy fix just make it so I can have 36 custom fingerings in the actual app and create a way to change the transpose keys into acting like any regular key. That would literally make everyone happy. I also noticed that the play along feature does only show default fingerings it would just be a cool quality of life improvement if that could also be custom. Honestly, besides the fact that it is confusing and basically impossible to play sharps and flats (with custom keys and clarinet logic) at the moment, this is still one of the best gifts I ever got and I am so thankful to use it and this amazing app. But seriously I’d like to see an update that adds the features I recommended.
For a complete beginner I dont hate on this app as much as others. I mean, it’s the cheapest product like this that they have. I wanted more songs. I need more practice. They only give you 11, which is lame. In general, the app is light on just about everything but I was happy just to have what they gave. I think the product it’s been out for a long time, but obviously not doing support for it much but I think the product and the app. Are pretty cool pair.
Aerophone Mini is a blast to play. I love it! However this app is hugely disappointing. I have iphone xr running ios 13 and one of this app’s advertised key features just doesn’t work. Trying to play along with song from phone, playback of track audio sounds like old-time scratched and skipping record. Not even close. Support is chasing one knowledge base article after another and no seeming way to get an answer very easily.
