I had high hopes for this app, but found it generally useless. I downloaded the update, which helped a little, but didn’t show me any progress or helpful information. All I got was a screen that asked (yes or no) if I had consumed 1 cup of leafy greens and 1 1/2 cups of legumes. Leafy greens, fine. But my GI tract doesn’t handle 1 1/2 cups of legumes every day. There was no mechanism to change the amounts or other food categories. Not helpful. I keep a daily food diary in another app and I’ll stay with that.
I love this app for multiple reasons. Firstly, the quizzes are a great way to check where I currently stand, then the recommendations based on the result are actually very helpful. I like how it allows me to track my progress, and also shares articles and recipes that can help me with my potential goals.
I love the doctors and absolutely cannot get enough of anything they have to say. I purchased their book. This app has an issue to though. Often in the Need to Know section there will be a blurb which starts out as an answer to a question but the question is not visible. Example - it will start out by saying ‘that’s a great question’ or ‘nothing could be further from the truth’ but it is out of context since there is no way to view the actual question or comment that prompted the reply. It’s easy enough to figure out what the question/comment might have been but it would be nice to be able to view it regardless.
