I love word games, and I play this every chance I get. Having played for a while now, I feel like I’ve hit a spot where no matter what you do you’ve hit a wall where you simply can’t spell words long enough to keep up with what’s coming. As a game mechanism it’s fine, but as you hit the tougher part of the game you get no more benefit for spelling an eight-letter word than you do at the beginning. Giving longer words the power to pop bubbles in addition to filling the circle might be a way to encourage longer words and allow for longer gameplay. As it is I seem to get into the 3000s and no matter what I can’t keep up, which eliminates the ability of the player. This could balance that. Thanks!

I raised my review to 3 stars because I like the recent updates to include a hint, and the small game play changes. However, I still find the game to be frustrating in that it feels endless, and almost stressful as you go. I’m now a level 11 and it means nothing to me, rather, it means harder to get prizes for reaching the next level and the only way to do that is play the same type of game over and over. I think should have level system should me more like a match 3, with progression. Rather than have the daily goals, change the level system to be more like a board game progression. And make the “levels” more like goal-oriented challenges... e.g. “score XXXX points to complete”, or “make 30 words with the letter F in the it to complete”. That would make the game play progressively challenging but at least with a constant end game to work toward. NEW Add and Suggestion - there should be a word thermometer like in words with friends, so you have as sense of the possible words on the board and if you’re missing a big word.

I love how relaxing this game is and since you don’t need the internet to play, it is my “go to” game whenever I’m waiting anywhere/anytime—in line at a store or even as a passenger on a short car ride! In addition, I enjoy having something to keep my brain sharp and this game does the trick! I like that it challenges me without having to be competitive with another person. As a wonderful side benefit, I have definitely seen proof that my brain is being “trained.” I have seen major improvements in my score on other other games since playing LetterPop. For example, my average word score in “Words with Friends 2” has doubled!
