I have one AJ Smart Camera (light bulb security camera CP8080) on my patio/pool deck. It has only been up for about 3 days. Although I initially set the sensitive level to “Normal” due to the repeated false triggers, I changed the sensitivity level to “middle low”. Despite setting the motion alert to recognize and alert on only “humans” between 1:45pm and 4:15pm today, I have received 30 alert notifications and there was no one in the camera’s field of view during that time. In fact, since being this review, I’ve received about 12 more false alerts. Aside from being wrong, it is extremely irritating to receive alert after alert over such a short period. On top of that, there have been many instances when I walked onto the patio (directly in the camera’s view, and I was not detected and the light did not turn on). As the name states, this is supposedly an app the controls the app creator’s “security” camera. Clearly it does not function as such. If you are using this to monitor suspicious/mischievous activity, I strongly recommend looking for other options. This one obviously DOES NOT WORK!

Save your money and go with something else. In the last 2 days, I am now confronted with Japanese ads when I even open the app. I can’t read it so I have no clue what I’m supposed to do to get it off the screen. I can’t tell if I’m declining something or agreeing to it. They also recently changed their previous policy on videos. Before, you could access all the videos from your device no matter how old, especially if you had a memory card. The memory card never works with mine but fine, the video stores to my phone and I can go back and check them. Now they’ve decided you can only view the videos for 36 hours (not a full 2 days as they claim). Anything over 36 hours old now requires a monthly premium price to view. This camera and its app has gotten worse over time. I shouldn’t have to buy the camera and pay a monthly premium to access videos stored to my phone or the cloud. I shouldn’t have to deal with foreign ads on startup that I can’t even read. I’d give this -5 starts if Apple would let me.

I’ve had my camera for about 6 months. I love this app for viewing the live feed from wherever I am. I also like that I can add people to share with so now my husband can also view live feed and to upgrade for cloud storage to keep footage is very reasonable. The picture quality is great in daytime color and night time black and white (unless light is turned on for color) night vision is very clear also. We absolutely love this app. Thanks creators of this app.
