Can’t open account right now

I used Gozem while traveling in Benin, and unfortunately, it was a very nerve-wracking experience. The app glitches and freezes frequently, which is the last thing you want when trying to get to the airport or navigate an unfamiliar city. Several drivers did not appear to use navigation or in-app maps. In some cases, they were not connected to the internet at all. We were often expected to direct the driver ourselves — which is extremely difficult as visitors who are not from the country. If this app is promoting itself as tourist-friendly, it has a long way to go. Reliability, navigation support, and driver training need serious improvement. There were also moments where pricing felt inconsistent, with drivers attempting to negotiate or increase fares outside of what was initially shown, which made the experience feel uncomfortable. There is real potential here, especially in a growing West African market, but the company needs to prioritize quality control, driver accountability, and app stability to build trust — particularly with international travelers. At this stage, I would advise tourists to have a backup transportation option.

The app always freezes and glitches out for me making it so I’ll book a trip then can’t click any buttons to see the status or let my driver know where I am / where I’m going. Similarly, it is almost impossible to cancel a ride. This performance issues make the app almost unusuable for me.
