Idle Cook: CookingGames

The last two updates have brought on so many more ads. Every few clicks, an ad pops up. It was fine when the ads were for a reason, but now a 30 second ad pops up wherever I am in the game. Sometimes, they don’t even load, so I’m just looking at a blank screen and have to close the window and restart. Sometimes, I do it anyway because I don’t feel like sitting through a 30 second ad when I’m in the process of upgrading something 10+ times. But once I close it, I just decide to leave it closed and play something else. I’ve spent less time in the game the past few days than I ever have. I barely even want to come check things because it’s guaranteed I’ll see 2+ random ads if I’m in the game for a few minutes. I get it. The devs want more people to subscribe, but I doubt many are going to pay $5 A WEEK for ANY game. That’s way too much. $1 a week, maybe, but paying $20 a month for a simple mobile game? Are you crazy?! Especially when I can buy an entire game from the app store for $5 and never have to pay a cent again. Why would I continuously pay all this money? Plus, people will only be buying it to get rid of the ads they’ve suddenly got popping up everywhere. I’m not interested in a game that starts interrupting my gameplay, with something it was not doing before, to get me to give them money. Least be forward and truthful about trying to get money. Don’t wait until you get people hooked, then start throwing stuff in the mix. Not to mention, the game has been freezing and changing the language. This game will be deleted. It was fun while it lasted. Least I found a cool coffee idle game that isn’t throwing ads in my face and has a mix of characters, not just the same boring, pale cooks/bosses. 🙄

It’s pretty obvious almost from the beginning how much the developer wants your money. They are CONSTANTLY throwing ads at you, trying to get you to watch ads if you don’t want to spend your money. All that aside tho, the game is pretty fun and a bit addicting. I thoroughly enjoy researching the different recipes though it’s pretty stupid at times. For the Strawberry Pie, obviously you need flour and strawberries, but to make a pie you also need butter and milk and eggs, but only eggs is the right answer there. Also waiting for some of the recipes doesn’t make any sense? Why do I have to wait half an hour before i can research Fried Chicken??? Additionally, the screen is really busy; there’s a lot happening at the same time and a lot of screens at that. I haven’t even discovered what some things do yet! This app would probably be better on an ipad than on my tiny phone screen. Overall, a decently fun game, just a lot of ads.

This is an amazing game! It’s also a great time killer! You just want to keep playing and playing to unlock all of the knew foods. I don’t really have any suggestions. It’s just great for people who lose interest in games in like one day. I’d maybe make it a little easier to earn money for new food or lower the price. The only time I leave the game is when I’m waiting for money to unlock new recipes. I like how you earn money when your not playing.
