I cannot believe this app is free. This application is amazing! I have been using this application to study for my medical boards. I love how I straightforward it is to make the cards. There is a feature to add items such as photosk, graphs, tables etc. This helps tremendously! I also recently activated the feature to remind myself to study - this helps me stay or remain motivated. It is very easy to toggle between flashcards. I also really enjoy the features such as making parts of the text larger or bold - although I do wish italics were a part of this editing features. Overall I cannot say enough amazing things about this app. I have used other flashcard applications (even purchasing an application) and this app (FlashcardMax) is wonderful. Of note, I have zero ties to this company and this review is simly from my experience with the application. I wish I had used this app during medical school/grad school!
this app is better than quizlet for me because i can add graphics to support the question of each flashcard--it has some great features for expedient navigation so i can make my own flashcards quickly. I like that the flashcard app autoconverts pasted texts because it's less time typing (i am picky about the fonts/sizes all matching--it reminds me that i was paying attention when i made these flashcards so that i do not doubt the material i put on them and end up deleting them later). however, i think the basic shuffle mode is really bad, i get a lot of repeated cards that I already know--i just want to brush up randomly across a bunch of topics from my classes without too much repitition. Also, i wish there was a search bar to search everything that is typed in the question/answer portion of the flashcards--the number of flashcards will be in the thousands or more, so it would be great to be able to freshen up on topics where i only remember certain pieces of what i typed way back when i first made them. It would be nice for students to be able to get a really good mix of flashcards over short periods of like 20 minutes or an hour. the photo drag-and-drop features are greatly efficient... though i still have to piece together long pictures over a series of steps instead of just one. i like the redactive features when editing graphics. on another note, sometimes there's a glitch where parts of one flashcard question text appear on a recent flashcard answer text that i'm working on. i have to quit the app and reopen it. the study mode kind of defaultly has the pictures small in the questions, so i have to fish around with my mouse/trackpad, which is always time consuming. my hotkey to close the window while duplicating a flashcard doesnt work? but over all, pretty good app
I've been using this app for about a year now for college and it's helped me to memorize content even faster than regular flash cards! The speed at which you can view each flashcard is a really nice touch, and I love how you can import slides from lectures to help you make the cards faster. Although it really helped me memorize content better, there were a few things that I had trouble with along the way, and hope will be fixed in later updates. An extension of the filing system, for instance would be a great add-on! Although I loved the fact that there even WAS a filing system that allowed for you to store multiple decks in a folder, you can't store a folder within a folder, which made it really difficult to seperate all of my Greek homework from everything else! Making it so that I can store several files within a file would make sorting everything much easier, and make me a much happier camper! Something else that I think would be a great add on would be to make the "flip questions/answers" function work alongside the "Add more flashcards to study" function. When it comes to Greek, being able to study all of my cards forward and backwards makes understanding a vocabulary entry much easier to remember, and only being able to flip the cards one deck at a time can be a bit time consuming. Other than that though, it's a great app, and I would definitely recommend it to someone else. Thank you for a great, free, adless application!
