I’ve used a lot of apps since the iPhone first came out, and this one brings me more joy every day than most of the others combined. This app connects me to other people in a way that’s both light / low-impact, but also genuine and often profound. It brings me a daily practice that helps me reflect on the things of life, both big and little, and also to connect with the larger community in an empathic and fun way. I think the three-step design is particularly brilliant: first you have a moment of connection/reflection with yourself, then with one other person, and then with the whole community. The three steps feel literally heart-expanding, like when the Grinch’s heart grows three sizes in one day - here, that is every day! I hope this takes over from Twitter and Instagram.

Whether having to isolate due to COVID, or the sometimes self imposed isolation from the general airwaves of negative combativeness - Daily Haloha gives me a connection I think so many of us are craving. With the simple three step process it’s like a Big Bang hug of connectivity that warms my heart every time I use it! A simple prompt to express what your emotions are in the moment and then Bam your little paper airplane goes out into the universe and thousands catch it sending you back messages that surprise and strengthen you for your day. Messages that make me smile, giggle, or pause for a moment of gratitude. It’s just what we need to bring us all together in this disconnected world - a place where we can all belong just as we are. Thank you!

I absolutely love this app! I use it everyday in the morning to get myself into an open, positive mental state from the very beginning of the day. I love how once you answer the question of the day, you immediately get randomly paired with another person’s answer to the question. I also think the feature that allows you to respond to other people’s answers is amazing—it always brightens my day to see that someone said they related to my answer or thought it was touching, and I love letting other people know how their answers made me feel. This app is an amazing example of what every social media app should strive for: cultivating mindful empathy and love for one another, rather than distraction and status-seeking. So glad that it exists!

Daily Haloha is a simple daily routine to help you feel a little more connected to yourself, your community, and the rest of humanity. It starts with one intriguing fill-in-the-blank question for the whole world each day. Just fill in the blanks with "you". Then see how the rest of the world responds! It's a chance to be inspired and uplifted. And we have a thoughtful daily quote for you too.

A Haloha is a simple, thought-provoking question that gives us an opportunity for self-reflection, imagination and creativity. Here are a few examples:

HOW IT WORKS
1) Daily Haloha starts with you.
Take a moment for yourself, each day, to consider the question. This is your chance for self-reflection.
Remember, you only answer the day’s Haloha question once, so make it count! A Haloha is a chance to truly be yourself and express your thoughts honestly, because Halohas are anonymous and free of judgment. Once you fill in the blanks, you select a Mood color that best fits your Haloha. And then you’re ready to offer your personal Haloha to the rest of the world!
2) Pay it forward.
When you send your Haloha it's randomly and anonymously delivered to another person, somewhere in the world – and instantly you’ll get a Haloha back from another thoughtful and curious person. You can even see where in the world that Haloha came from. Then you can select a Response sticker to let the sender know they were heard!
3) Be part of the bigger picture.
All the Halohas from the day are posted on the Haloha Wall so you can see what the world is thinking and feeling about the day’s question. You can save any Haloha to your personal Scrapbook, and also share them out to any of your social or personal channels. Remember to check the countdown clock to see when a new Haloha question will be available!
This simple routine is a moment of reflection, connection and gratitude to fuel and nourish your day.
