When I first saw ads for this I thought there had to be some kind of catch, but I just got my first order and it went super well! I’m the type of person who has loved the convenience of grocery delivery apps to save time, and get rid of the pain of driving, carrying groceries to the door, and the extra cost of all the extra things I decide to buy in store. Even though I love those conveniences, they definitely come at a big price with the other popular apps. Using Buncha was just as good (if not better!) than other ones I’ve tried. I especially like: -ability to shop from multiple stores for one delivery (I got most of my things from Aldi but needed a couple of additional items, and was so happy to find a could do that!) -I still had plenty of options to choose from for delivery date/time in my neighborhood -options to pre-select substitutions for items -updates about substitutions/order status The only major differences I noticed compared to other grocery delivery apps: -larger time window for delivery (3 hour window) -I might just not be very tech savvy, but there also didn’t seem to be as much detail in the app about orders in progress as I’ve seen on some other apps. Again, not a super big deal for me but just a difference I noticed. Overall, I am extremely surprised and pleased with this app and will definitely be switching over for my grocery deliveries. It really makes all those conveniences affordable for normal people!

I really enjoy Buncha, especially as I have dealt with a busy life and some health issues that have made it difficult to go shopping regularly. Their customer service is quick to respond and helpful too. The price can’t be beat and they’ve always been on time and followed my delivery instructions to my mail room. I love these aspects of the service enough to give it 5 stars despite a few areas of improvement as the company grows. The only critiques I have would be that the app isn’t always accurate as to what’s available in store, but the shoppers are great about communicating the need for substitutions and making suggestions. I’ve also been unable to leave feedback on the app after individual orders. Like others have said, this is a newer company and the app works 99% of the time in the way it’s supposed to. The last area of improvement would be to see them switch to entirely reusable/eco friendly bags. A few times I’ve received orders in their buncha bags, but many others have been in one time use containers to keep things cool.

I have been struggling with my food budget for a long time — groceries are expensive, and having them delivered is even more expensive. I don’t have a car so it more than just a matter of convenience for me to be able to shop at multiple stores and know I’m not being overcharged for food. I like that I can shop my whole list at once. The people have all been nice and friendly. I took a star off because the products are really disorganized. There are a few item categories, but no subcategories, and there’s no rhyme or reason to where those products show up within that — there’s no alphabetical order, no sorting by price, no filters, nothing. Best you can do is search, often finding what you were looking for in the wrong category altogether. There’s no way to know what’s in stock and what isn’t, leading to half my order being canceled because there were no replacement available. There are seasonal products listed that are several seasons ago, which I’m guessing just means that nobody is curating the product listings. All this just makes it really hard to be able to predict what you will and won’t get from your grocery order. All in all it’s a necessary service that I’m really happy with, but using the app to order is frustrating and the results aren’t predictable. I’m psyched to have access to Costco though.
