Rexing Connect

I’m gonna be fair here. I think the app is good and bad. it definitely needs a new layout a new way to connect to your camera because I shouldn’t need to use my Wi-Fi settings to my Dashcam to be turned on every time I start my car and my camera. I think it should just be on as a default setting and if I want it off, I’ll turn it off myself. Playback issues. This is really annoying honestly because when I wanna load a video without needing to download it to my phone to view it and I just want to view it through the app it runs into a loop or buffer way too much for a 9 second video. Now I don’t know what’s going on here exactly but just imagine when you get an accident and you want to pull up the video to show the officer or whoever’s on the scene to view it of what happened well they’re gonna be waiting for a while the problem here the loading takes too long through the app now to be fair and to be honest, you can download it and view it through your phone however, if I don’t want to download it and wait a while to bring up what happened I wanted to be convenient to be through the app or if necessary I’ll download it through my phone. The reason why I’m bringing this up is because people are spending quite a bit of money for this camera I’m not saying it’s a whole lot and I still like the camera itself. I just think that the app itself needs a bit of work and I think you should continue to work on it to improve it and it seems like the only thing that’s been improved is bugs we’re talking about a new layout a new way to function with the camera a new, everything make it work is a better way of saying it overall the camera itself is fantastic. You have a great camera here but an app that doesn’t necessarily work in the right way that it needs to be.

When it does it, it takes multiple minutes to load a list of videos. It then takes a minute or so to load the video so you can check if it’s even the one you want. From the app, there’s no way to save an entire video to your phone. You can only do short 5-15s segments since it seems like they want to push this app as a social media service. Saving a 15s clip usually takes 2 minutes on my iPhone 13 sitting in the drivers seat with the dashcam above my head. Sometimes clips simply won’t save to your phone, so you’ll have to put the SD card in a computer to save those videos anyway Overall, the dashcams are good but the app is really bad

Dash cam was good at first. After about a year, I started to have issues. The main issue is that it no longer connects to the app. Any videos have to be directly downloaded from the SD drive onto a computer. I can no longer transfer to my phone. The second issue is that the setting don’t always stay. Not sure how this happens but there have been a few times where the loop recording will switch from 3 minute to 1 minute or no loop recording. It’s really odd. Some of the other settings will change too but the most annoying issue is that the time stamp does not actually update. I shut off the car and 8+hours later, it’s at the same time/date as when I shut off the car. I’ve tried adjusting the settings through the device, since I can’t connect through the app but nothing has worked. This is the most annoying and frustrating part since I want to have the correct time/date stamp on the videos.
