I didn’t really need to download this app, because the G8+ worked perfectly with my iPhone 14 Pro out of the box and I expect it to with future USB C phones. I would’ve had to buy 2 backbones for nearly 4 times the total price as my g8+ to support both those Apple lighting and USB C phones. The product is just great all around, but anyways, I just downloaded the app days later just to see what it offers. It let me update the firmware easily with good status indicators and let me modify a wide range of settings very easily. I obviously won’t need to use this app much, but I wanted to say it just works great which is not a given, and I suspect the negative reviews here are outdated or from older product lines.

So let me start off by saying this is my first mfi controller and I think will be my last due to the fact that when first bought this I was like ok I can take anywhere long battery and no problems with it well it was the opposite of that!! There is no rumble or vibration in the Gamesir X2 controller so it is nearly impossible for you to be immersed in the gameplay. So that is my first gripe second before I bought literally days later the Gamesir X2 Pro-Xbox controller came out and the company didn’t even say to wait to buy it..so I’m basically stuck with this delay type broken controller with a little battery life. I like it at first I was using this for games such as Apex Mobile Legends and T3 Arena and it kind of sufficed there but it lacked later as it got older and only one update has been available and it almost fixed the thumbsticks but I there is still delay..and now I use to play Battelefield 2042 and Fortnite and I got to say building it is perfect sort of; depending connection but if you are using this and you want a competitive edge it only last for a little while so I was say update the physical buttons and make the dpi greater possibly and fix the thumbsticks please!! And the battery life is lack luster as well!! Other than that I’m looking to buy a regular Xbox controller because this one is sort of a waste of money for right now!! Just being honest!! 🤷🏿‍♂️🗣

I bought the G6 controller a while ago and it worked perfectly fine but with the recent iOS updates it stopped working. Originally the app said that it wasn’t Compatible with iOS 13.4 or older but they were working on it, I was a bit annoyed but decided to wait it out until the developers worked it out. Not long ago part of their “update” was that now the controller was compatible with iOS 13.4 and older. Well if it is, it’s not working or I’m doing something wrong. The app itself only was information on “how” to connect with your Apple device however it doesn’t provide any information to contact the developers in order to fix the problem or to contact anyone at all for any malfunctioning issues. Overall it’s useless if I can’t do anything with it.
