The con hasn’t even started yet, and already I am using this app to purchase show tickets, mark down my favorite artists in the Artists Alley, and creating my personalized schedule on what shows and panels to see. This app is very useful and is a great substitute to the booklet that is usually handed out at the start of the convention. The UI is easy to navigate and the color scheme matches AX’s and provides a nice look. There has not been any bugs or issues at the current usage of the app, and I am wondering if high population usage come time the con will slow the app down, but there’s only one way to find that out.

The info on the app and the website doesn’t match 100% and requires some digging on the user’s part. The website Masquerade says it’s ticketed, but the app doesn’t. The autograph times for the guests of honor aren’t perfectly listed, but rather given a broad several hour gap. The industry autograph times for individuals are a mystery to me. The bag pick-up area is on an image on the website but not on the line map on the app. I didn’t see any mention of the Table Top events on the app, but are mentioned on the website. Also, I can’t seem to get the filter function to actually filter by category. That’s the bad stuff. The good stuff is the UI of the app itself. You can bookmark as many panels or events as you want, even if the times overlap and you can even choose the way the time table is presented to you from a listed vertical view to a horizontal view. All important facets for someone trying to attend as many stuff as possible. Hopefully someone from SPJA will see this and take the critique into consideration.
