Honestly, I can’t say enough great things about this app. I am new to astronomy and astrophotography but this app has made it so simple to learn about what is available in my location to view each night, how easy the object will be to view at that time, and a nice paragraph with some bullet points about each object you are viewing or looking to potentially view. The device itself is fantastic but without a quality app to support it, the product would not perform well. However, this is not the case, both the app and Stellina work well to make for a fantastic product! Don’t get me wrong, it was an expensive purchase but may have been one of the best purchases I have made to date. The Vaonis team continues to add more deep sky objects and various other objects (such as the recent comet) to the Stellina catalogue. As far as app performance goes, it may be one of the smoothest and easiest apps to navigate. I have no errors or glitches to report with the app, it is also one of the most beautiful apps I have used. It gives a pixelated preview image of the object you are going to potentially view which I think is a great touch as it is not going to ruin the object with an extremely clear preview image. I think this app has been extensively thought out and it shows. I look forward to future updates and product launches from the Vaonis team!

I’ve only had a couple of sessions to use my Stellina since I be had it. Largely due to cloudy weather. The images I’ve made have been perfect and so easy to make.
After setting up the tripod and mounting the Stalina and getting the iPad connected the Stalina soon finds itself and is ready to find anything on it’s menu that is available within it’s field of view
Some shortcomings are a small, but growing, menu. Inability to observe the Sun. Also, the dew heater on my unit either doesn’t work or is very weak. To be sure not to have imaging interruptions I found it nessarry to wipe the lens just before each exposure.
I bought the fitted case, which is of good quality, because I plan to take it with me when I travel

I didn’t expect Stellinapp to be this good. Apparently the engineering team who build the world’s best affordable digital telescope also know a great deal about what makes a reliable and useful app.
I’m looking forward to the evolution of the app. There are so many cool possible future features, but I love the current simplicity and usability.
