2nd Grade Math: Fun Kids Games

I give this app two stars. I am looking at this app through the teacher perspective. When a teacher is using this app in a classroom setting, the students will likely be distracted from the other activities that the app allows the children to play. The children can use their coins to purchase new clothes, buildings (restaurants, shops, etc) and furniture for their buildings. All of these activities take away from the math content standards that this app addresses. Since the students are not using the values of real money, the purchasing of the products cannot be related to a mathematical content standard. However, this game is beneficial for children that are practicing math at home. This app will provide children with 3 digit addition problems and give them opportunities to identify even and odd numbers.

I have this app for my son as well as the kindergarten one for my daughter and they both love spending time playing the games while also learning!

Awesome game. Got it for my 7 year old little sister, who has refused to do math her whole life. Now, she loves it and is playing this game all the time. Miracle!
