Learning Japanese with Tae Kim

Using only this app and WaniKani (to learn more kanji and vocab), with some time and effort, I learned to be conversational in Japanese and to be legitimately good at reading Japanese for comprehension. Trust me when I say that if you study this guide well, you’ll be rewarded as it seriously gave me everything I needed. Unlike many apps that start off with common phrases, this guide teaches you grammar from the bottom up so that you really get to know the language from the inside instead of having superficial knowledge based on arbitrary phrases. I studied abroad in Japan for 4 months and was able to thrive thanks to this. Thanks so much for the work you’ve put in Tae Kim. I bought your book so that I could repay you for the great help you’ve been in my life.

This is one of the best guides for learning Japanese that you can find. Having it in the form of an App makes it so much easier. The only thing that I’ve noticed that’s missing from the old version of the App is the ability to click on highlighted kanji to see the reading in hiragana. If that is added back in it would be perfect.

Really smooth app that actually has the same grammar from the free guide provided by Tae Kim! I'm so glad someone finally made the mobile version again in fact I'd say this was better than the predecessor! It actually comes with the exercises but in a separate section of the app! Of course the content is what's great about the app it has all of the grammar organized well and the tab bar where it's presented has a smooth transition as well as, it's easy to swipe between grammar points. I hope others are able to take notice because the app developer saved the day for Japanese language learners! Thanks for making the app possible because I was really hoping to have the guide back on iOS! It really is a blessing!
