Having used this app for the better part of three years, I’m incredibly thankful for just how simple it is to pick up and use. However, it seems like when we need it the most (such as right before an early season performance) the app will refuse to work as advertised. More unfortunately, this issue has seemingly got worse and worse throughout my time using the app. Another issue with the app is the downloading of multiple parts. I play separate instruments in marching band versus pep band and in theory it would not be an issue since I’m enrolled in multiple bands. However, the app magically decides to only display whatever was most recently downloaded in both bands. As an example, in marching band I’ll be playing Tuba, then at pep band I’ll have to redownload every song in our book for the trombone. Then of course sometimes the app won’t download the right version and still show the tuba part anyway. If these issues could be fixed I would say that this app is nearly on par with Beam.
Hi, I’ve used this app in marching band for over a year as a player and it’s about 50/50 for working/not working. Sometimes, the director pulls up a song and it shows up perfectly fine, with all my settings saved and my notes still written in. Other times, the song may revert to upside down after saving it previously, erase my notes, or refuse to open at all, and I’m stuck standing there messing with my phone while the rest of the band plays. These are not user-specific issues but everyone in the band experiences them all the time. Please work on an update soon so I can play in marching band successfully. Thanks!
It’s an amazing app overall but I’m factoring in that there are some odd disconnects at times from the performance band thing. Also I know you don’t know what everyone’s working with but my iPhone 6 can’t even open the app with an IOS of 12.5.7
