CFE Contigo

I’m being trying to pay my bill and not able to open the app. I try to pay it online but also is not working. And is hard when you can go to the offices to pay. So disappointed

The app crashes and it won’t let me get pass the CFE logo screen, it crashes and kicks me out. Tried to see if there was an update which there was none available, I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and the same issue persists. It’s been like this for a few weeks now.

I have a peso account and VISA debit card with CI Banco. But it’s not acceptable to pay on either of the two CFE bill-pay apps available on line. So, O.K. At least on this app, I can print the entire bill, including the 30-digit barcode at the bottom that changes each time to include the amount due. The other CFE app will show the bill, but not the essential barcode. Since I started paying on-line, I don’t get hard copies delivered to my mailbox by hand. Then, I’ll access the XOOM app to pay bills in Mexico, including CFE. I’ll enter the 30-digit barcode number, XOOM shows the amount due which coincides with my actual bill, and I pay it with a U.S. credit card. It does go right through in a matter of minutes. I get confirmation of payment from CFE, XOOM and my credit card bank. The XOOM transaction costs around $2.50 U.S. The receipt shows the exchange rate. And that certainly beats a round-trip taxi fare to pay it in person.
